What to Ask a Provider

Use this list. Write down the answers.

• Are you licensed and insured in my state?
• Can I get the quote in writing?
• What does the estimate include, and what could change it?
• Have you worked on homes as old as mine?
• What might be hiding behind the walls, in the ducts, or near the old equipment?
• How long will the job take?
• What warranty applies to parts and labor?

If you need emergency AC repair or have no heat, say so at the start. Ask what the provider can offer.
